Mediation training bodies

This is a list of the organisations which train mediators or otherwise provide a national service for appointing mediators outside the Private bodies listed below.

Local Mediation Groups within the North

ANM recognises local groups of mediators within the northern region made up of ANM members. To be within this section the provider must have an inclusive policy and so users have confidence that most commercial mediators practicing within the locality will be there. This is an alternative way of locating mediators to the search facility provided within this website.

These are regional groupings of mediators similar in character to the Association of Northern Mediators. Their membership is open to all appropriately qualified mediators trained through or recognised by the Main Providers listed above. General mediation advice and direct access to their mediator members is available through them.

Private Mediation Providers

There are over 60 commercial mediation providers in the UK and we list here only a small number of these that have been commended to us by our members. All of these have a national appointment service similar to some of the main providers. They do not train or validate mediators and some specialise in particular areas more than others.

Venues in the North

Neutral venues can sometimes be a great advantage and ANM present some suggested alternative venues. The costs per party range from £150 to £300 per day for a traditional 2 party mediation.
