Brian Dawson is accredited with both CEDR and ADR Group.
He has carried out many successful mediations in a wide range of disputes involving a diverse section of the community.
In 2004 Brian was one of the four founding minds behind the creation of the pioneering Chester Mediation scheme which was based at Chester Civil Justice Centre. The Chester Scheme was one of the most successful schemes in the country, settling 81.4% of the cases referred to it.
Brian combined mediating with his work as a solicitor until early 2017, after which he retired fromlegal practice to concentrate on mediating and sitting as a Deputy District Judge.
Brian has developed particular experience in Inheritance Disputes gained through private practice and through successfully mediating many such disputes over a number of years, despite frequent deep and seemingly intractable issues between the parties.
Brian also developed extensive experience in clinical negligence during his practicing career. He became an AVMA Panel member in 1996 and a Law Society clinical negligence panel member in September 2002. He is an experienced clinical negligence mediator and is a Director of Trust Mediation Limited, which has been accredited to carry out mediations on behalf of the NHS.
