Nicola specialises in Probate, Inheritance, Trusts, and COP Property and Affairs work.

Nicola's practice covers all aspects of contentious and non-contentious Probate work, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, Trusts matters, and Property and Affairs work within the Court of Protection. As well as court work and written advice and pleadings, Nicola regularly represents clients at mediations and other forms of ADR.

Nicola is a full member (TEP) of STEP and is the joint head of Park Lane Plowden Chambers' Chancery and Commercial Team.

Nicola is recognised as an expert in her practice areas, being ranked as Band 1 in the 2025 Chambers and Partners, and Tier 1 in the Legal 500 and is the author of A Practical Guide to the law in relation to Control of the Body after Death and A Practical Guide to the law in relation to Presumption of Death and Guardianship orders.
