Biography
Andrew Vickerstaff is a Solicitor-Advocate and CMC Accredited Mediator with over 20 years' experience as a solicitor, including complex cross-border disputes resolved through mediation.
He qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and became a Solicitor-Advocate in 2007 after obtaining Higher Rights of Audience. Andrew has practised at both national and regional law firms, and has worked in-house since 2012 at General Counsel/Head of Legal level across FMCG, Healthcare and gambling sectors. This breadth of in-house commercial experience allows him to help parties focus on the underlying commercial issues driving a dispute, and to identify pragmatic, business-led routes to resolution.
What sets Andrew apart is his direct experience of mediation from three distinct vantage points: as a client, as legal adviser to a client, and as mediator. This gives him a practical understanding of what each party in the room needs to reach a workable commercial resolution.
Andrew offers a commercial, collaborative approach on a transparent, fixed-fee basis.
