CAREER HISTORY

 

From being called to the Bar in 1998, after 15 years as a full-time officer of a trade union, Colin specialised in employment and discrimination law until he gave up his practice in 2023. In that time, he acted for employers and employees and was regularly cited as a leading practitioner by Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500.

He was accredited by CEDR as a mediator in 2000 and undertook a wide range of civil and commercial mediations as well as in employment and acted for parties as advocate in mediations.

Since giving up his practice at the Bar he has focussed exclusively on mediation and training mediators, including training prisoners and prison officers as part of violence reduction strategies.
